As a graduate of SUNY Farmingdale State College with a B.S. in Management of Technology Dennis' work experience includes over 45 years in Aerospace Manufacturing as well as being employed at Arkwin Industries for 42 years while working in machining. He then transferred onto production control, quality, manufacturing engineering, continuous improvement, ISO 9001 auditing, lean manufacturing, quality circles, and the purchasing of capital equipment.
Dennis has also been involved and is a member of the New York City-Long Island APICS chapter and served on the board of directors for 24 years of which he served as the president for three and a half years. He also has involvement with the Long Island Chapter of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers-SME, which he is a retired member and serving on the North Carolina Chapter 82 board of directors as a liaison with colleges and high schools. Joining the Long Island PTECH-Pathway Technology Early College High School Program in 2013, he served as the chairperson of the Industry Partner Subcommittee. In addition to these programs and memberships, he has worked closely with Long Island BOCES and other educational and vocational organizations promoting apprenticeships and careers in manufacturing.
